Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: 31 October 2026

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

The short version

Some links on Sunshine and Fresh Air are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is the same.

Which programs we use

  • Amazon Associates (US). Links to amazon.com may include our tracking tag. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
  • Other brands and networks. We may join affiliate programs run by individual brands or networks in the future. Until a program has approved us, any link to that brand is a plain, untracked link that earns us nothing. When that changes, this page will be updated to list the program.

How we mark links

  • Every page with affiliate links carries a short disclosure near the top, before the first link.
  • Affiliate links are tagged rel="sponsored" in the page code, as search engines ask.
  • Product buttons say where they go (for example “Check current price on Amazon”).

What affiliate income doesn’t change

  • What we recommend. We choose products from published specs, certifications, repairability and warranty terms, as set out in How we judge green claims. A brand paying a higher commission doesn’t get a better spot.
  • What we say about green claims. We’ll still point out a vague or unsupported environmental claim from a brand we can earn from.
  • Testing claims. We never say we tested a product unless we did.
  • Prices. We don’t state live prices, because they change. If we mention a price, we give the date checked and the source, and the retailer’s price at checkout is the one that counts.

Sponsored content

We don’t currently publish sponsored posts. If we ever do, they’ll be labelled “Sponsored” at the top.
